海外研修生を毎年受け入れ、毎年送ること32年。姉妹校との確固たる信頼関係が本校国際交流の魅力です。留学生を送るだけでなく受け入れることで一段と深い国際理解の可能性が広がります。
ニュージーランドとアメリカ・シアトルで海外研修
視野を広げ、国際感覚を磨くために短期・長期の海外研修コースを設定。2006年度から「進級留学プログラム」がスタートし、さらに充実した海外研修を行っています。

海外の高校に1年間留学しながら、本校を3年間で卒業できる海外留学特別プログラムです。
ネイティブ教師や海外とのオンラインスピーキングで日常的に生きた英語と触れあえる環境
英語の授業では日本人・アメリカ人の2人がダブル担任で授業を行います。また、海外の英語ネイティブスピーカーとオンラインでマンツーマンの英語学習も行っています。
毎日英語のシャワーを浴びることで確かな英語力と国際感覚を身につけます。

姉妹校提携を結んでいるセント・メアリーズ校やアッパー・ハット校は、首都ウェリントンに位置しています。政治や文化の中心地で、英語力を高め、国際理解を深めることができます。サザンクロス語学学院があるクライストチャーチはガーデン・シティと呼ばれ、イギリス文化を色濃く残す街として有名です。語学の徹底的な学習と共に、異文化に対する理解を高めます。

3ヶ月の高校生活は、とても早かったです。まだ帰りたくないです。私は高校で2つのことを学びました。1つ目は日本語についてです。どのように会話するのかということと、新しい単語を覚えました。2つ目は日本の高校とニュージーランドの高校は、大きく違うということです。日本の高校は自分のクラスがあります。ニュージーランドの高校は、全ての教科を違う教室で受けます。そのため私はすぐに仲良しの友達ができました。ここでの思い出を一生忘れません。

Specific Information
School Rules:
International exchange students are expected to follow the rules and customs which apply to our own students. The rules include proper dress and appearance. You may wear your own school’s uniform or arrange to wear our school’s uniform. Personal grooming and appearance should be natural (colored hair, cosmetics and jewelry are not allowed).
Lessons:
Unlike other countries, Japanese high school students attend lessons as a class, which means they are together with the same class members all day. However, to meet the needs and abilities of international exchange students, every effort will be made to place students in appropriate lessons.
In addition, should an international student need time and space for independent study, we will do our best to accommodate them. Japanese study materials are available in the library and private tutors can be arranged.
There are a number of fluent English speakers and one native speaker on full time staff who can help students.

Requirements:
- You must be a full time student between 15 and 17 years of age.
- You must be recommended by your school’s principal.
- You must agree to abide by school rules.
- You must pay homestay and administrative fees in advance.

Cost:
St. Catalina has formal exchange agreements with St. Mary’s College & Upper Hutt College in New Zealand , a ccording to which tuition fees are waived. Exchange students pay only homestay and administrative fees.
Students and staff from other schools should contact St. Catalina Gakuen for more information.

Refund Policy:
Should a student need to return to their home country before their enrollment is completed, any homestay fees based on the weekly fee will be refunded. (A week is any number of days between a Sunday and the following Saturday). Administrative or other support fees are non refundable. Any outstanding expenses will be deduc ted from the refund.
